Earning Your Rural Affordable Housing Professional (RAHP) Designation


Now you can earn your Rural Affordable Housing Professional or RAHP designation!

This designation evidences your competency in the field of affordable multifamily housing. In order to apply for the RAHP designation and use those initials after your name, you must complete the following prerequisites:

1.  Successful completion of CARH’s Apartment Management Course
2.  Occupancy training (STAR, CPO or RAM accepted)
3.  Fair Housing/Section 504 training
4.  Participation at CARH national or state chapter meetings
5.  Be employed by a CARH member
6.  Agree to comply with the CARH Code of Ethics
7.  Pay the certification fee of $200.00

During the grandfathering period which ends on December 31, 1999, the requirements are less.  Contact housing@sprynet.com for more information!

Once you’ve earned your RAHP designation, you may wish to advance to the highest level designation -- RAHP-Executive -- by meeting additional requirements.
